Dispatch Controller - Mine Control Centre

About the role

Hellas Gold Single Member S.A. is a gold, silver, lead and zinc mining company operating the Kassandra Mines in NE Halkidiki since 2004. It is offering the position of Dispatch Controller (Συντονιστής/τρια Κέντρου Ελέγχου) for its premises in Chalkidiki, reporting to the Dispatch Operations Lead of the Mine Operations Department in Olympias. The role covers overall shift management, including continuous control room coverage with rotating shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Record and update personnel and shift progress information in real time.
• Develop and implement dispatch plans and schedules, adjusted to production goals.
• Monitor active mining fronts, coordinate equipment, materials and personnel, and report issues to engineers or foremen.
• Collect, record and supervise equipment operational data via dispatch and SCADA, and troubleshoot basic system issues.
• Give clear instructions and updates to personnel and keep close contact with support departments.
• Supervise critical points in the mine and respond to emergency safety incidents according to procedure.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, equipment use and incidents, and prepare shift reports.
• Implement best practices, quality control measures and KPIs; ensure a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Use and care for PPE daily and supervise equipment such as pumps, fans and tanks.
• Ensure continuous control room coverage with shift rotation and variable hours, and perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geoscience, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in mining operations, production lines, logistics or a related field.
• Previous dispatch or coordination experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of mining operations, equipment and/or dispatch systems.
• Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in mining.
• Strong leadership, team management and communication skills, and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Driver's licence.
• Willingness to work rotating 24/7 shifts under labour legislation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in dispatch software and systems such as Mining Art, Modular Mining, MineStar and Wenco.
• Analytical, problem-solving and adaptability skills.
