Data Scientist Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Science Lead to head a small team of two data scientists within our Data & Analytics department. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on technical work, ensuring that complex data projects translate into actionable business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of two data scientists, setting objectives and providing regular feedback.
• Stay actively involved in delivery, owning the most complex or business‑critical projects from conception to deployment.
• Manage the team’s backlog, balance stakeholder requests, and ensure predictable, high‑quality output.
• Translate key business challenges into data‑driven solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
• Define and maintain the data science roadmap in partnership with senior leadership.
• Build, deploy, and maintain machine‑learning models that support predictive analytics.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data‑science teams and delivering end‑to‑end projects.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical work with company strategy.
• Excellent collaboration skills for working with product managers, engineers, and business leaders.
• Hands‑on mindset, comfortable writing code and reviewing peer output.
