About the role
Big Blue Data Academy is seeking a Data Engineering Instructor to join its professional education team. The role involves delivering immersive bootcamps and corporate training on data science and engineering topics to motivated learners. Ideal candidates are highly motivated data scientists who enjoy teaching and mentoring others, and who seek to improve their leadership abilities while working with talented students.
Key responsibilities
- Teach data science and data engineering concepts in both in‑person and remote sessions, covering multiple days and evenings each month.
- Design and deliver curriculum, hands‑on labs, and mentorship activities that prepare students for real‑world data engineering roles.
- Provide feedback and guidance to help students develop practical data engineering skills.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a closely related data engineering/science role.
- Availability to commit to teaching several days and evenings per month, either on‑site or remotely.
