Data Center Engineer

About the role

Huawei Europe is seeking a Data Center Engineer to join its Athens office. The role focuses on designing, installing and commissioning data‑center facilities, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client requirements and define technical solutions for data‑center facilities.
• Develop technical documentation including design specifications, schematics and layout drawings.
• Manage installation, commissioning and delivery of power, cooling and related systems.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to guarantee quality and compliance.
• Support procurement through technical evaluations and material validation.
• Oversee Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and overall commissioning activities.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Energy Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in data‑center, infrastructure or building‑services projects.
• Fluent in Greek and English.

Required skills

• Power systems knowledge (UPS, electrical distribution, grounding).
• Cooling systems expertise (CRAC/CRAH, chillers, precision cooling).
• Datacenter infrastructure understanding (racks, containment, layouts).
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and project‑management tools such as MS Project.
