Clinical Research Associate

About the role

Dyania Health builds Synapsis AI, which extracts clinically relevant insights from electronic medical records to inform patient care and clinical research. Its Clinical Research Associates work closely with the AI research and software engineering teams and with physicians at client institutions to design and implement research protocols, publish results and ensure they are satisfied with the outcomes. The role is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop medical cases used for training Dyania's large language models
• Define the clinical logic behind trial criteria matching
• Assess clinical trial protocols and prepare trial documentation
• Break down inclusion and exclusion criteria into machine-friendly queries
• Evaluate and ensure the quality of Synapsis AI outputs for clinical accuracy
• Design and draft investigator-initiated protocols for retrospective observational studies

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MD) or PharmD degree from an accredited US or EU university
• Experience analysing clinical notes and drawing medical conclusions from them
• Comprehension of clinical guidelines to train AI models accurately
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and critical thinking
• Fluent written and spoken English and strong communication skills across multidisciplinary teams

Preferred qualifications

• Clinical trials design and clinical research procedures
• Proficiency in Excel for data cleaning and transformation
• Familiarity with AI/NLP or SQL
• Prior experience with US EMR vendors
