Civil Design Engineer – Energy Projects

About the role

Paralos Energy is looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join its Civil Engineering team in Athens. The role involves designing and supporting the execution of energy infrastructure projects such as substations, wind farms and transmission lines, both in Greece and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Civil Design Coordinator, internal engineers and external consultants throughout the design process.
• Review civil engineering deliverables, identify inconsistencies and support modifications.
• Coordinate interfaces between civil and electrical/mechanical disciplines.
• Provide technical support to project managers, procurement and construction teams.
• Prepare documentation for building permit applications and respond to client/owner engineer comments.
• Monitor civil works costs, prepare Bills of Quantities and report progress against milestones.
• Assist site construction teams, review RFIs, design changes and ensure alignment between design and on‑site execution.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree considered an asset).
• Up to 5 years of experience in EPC projects; entry‑level candidates are welcome.
• Background in Structural Engineering is a strong asset.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving and multitasking abilities.
• Fluency in Greek and English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD; Civil 3D is a plus.
• Familiarity with MS Project for milestone tracking.
