Cafeteria Attendant

About the role

The Cafeteria Attendant ensures the dining area and related facilities are clean, well‑stocked, and ready for guests throughout each shift. Working within Marriott International’s hospitality environment in Athens, you will support the food‑and‑beverage team by maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Complete closing duties: store reusable items, break down goods, clean equipment, lock refrigerators, restock supplies, turn off lights, and lock doors.
• Set up, stock, and maintain work areas, ensuring all china, glass, and silver are clean and presentable before use.
• Follow clean‑as‑you‑go procedures to keep workspaces tidy throughout the shift.
• Adhere to company safety and security policies, report incidents, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a professional uniform and personal appearance, protect company assets, and uphold confidentiality.
• Greet guests courteously, answer phones with proper etiquette, and communicate clearly with team members.
• Support team goals, respond to employee concerns, and ensure quality standards are met.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb, and navigate uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Professional demeanor, reliable attendance, and willingness to follow safety and hygiene protocols.
