Assistant Floor Supervisor

About the role

The Assistant Floor Supervisor supports the housekeeping team at a Marriott hotel in Athens, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet quality standards and coordinating daily operations across multiple departments.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool areas after cleaning to verify quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies and prioritize cleaning tasks.
• Update room status, prepare and distribute room‑assignment changes, and communicate issues to the next shift.
• Act as liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to resolve room‑related problems.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling and motivating staff.
• Follow company safety, security and operational policies; report maintenance problems and safety hazards.
• Provide courteous guest service, assist guests with disabilities and maintain professional appearance.
• Perform physical duties such as moving, lifting and transporting objects up to 55 lb (assistance for heavier items).
• Enter and locate work‑related information using computers and point‑of‑sale systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant housekeeping experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Athens, Greece.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency for data entry and reporting.
