Area Sales Manager – Sea Freight (Athens & Southern Greece)

About the role

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to lead sea‑freight sales in Athens and Southern Greece for cargo‑partner, part of the Nippon Express Group. You will drive new‑business development, manage existing accounts and expand our market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage existing customer accounts and generate new business by selling the cargo‑partner sea‑freight portfolio.
• Research the market, devise account development strategies and identify growth opportunities.
• Participate in tender bids, lead price negotiations and prepare proposals, quotations and winning presentations.
• Build long‑term relationships with clients to create robust partnerships.
• Maintain regular updates in the company’s Customer Relations Management (CRM) system.
• Represent cargo‑partner with third parties and collaborate with internal departments.
• Support product managers in developing new freight products.

Required profile

• Current sales role with a strong focus on sea freight within the freight‑forwarding sector.
• Fluent in Greek and English.
• Proven ability to generate own business and influence decision‑makers.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a customer‑service mindset.
• Well‑organized, analytical and able to research market trends.
• Positive, resilient attitude and strong teamwork orientation.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
