AI Engineer (GenAI)

About the role

GEK TERNA Group is looking for an AI Engineer for its Digital Transformation Office in Athens. The role covers the design, development and deployment of generative AI solutions, including agentic AI systems, within corporate environments.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and document business needs.
• Design and develop architectures for agentic AI systems using modern LLM frameworks, ML, APIs, GENAI and other automation tools.
• Improve AI solution accuracy and performance through feature engineering.
• Use multi-agent collaboration frameworks for complex business workflows.
• Integrate AI agents into enterprise systems, APIs and external apps with AI orchestration tools.
• Deploy solutions to production environments supporting real-time or batch inference on new data.
• Communicate the solutions to stakeholders (customers).
• Lead technical discussions on architecture, scalability and performance with IT stakeholders.
• Ensure proper documentation and DevOps, and research and recommend new technologies.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of proven experience designing and developing GENAI solutions in corporate environments, with at least 2 projects.
• At least 3 years of experience in development projects.
• Proven ability to take initiative and be innovative; leadership experience is a plus.
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Python expertise.
• Experience integrating generative AI models into enterprise applications, chatbots, virtual assistants and low-code platforms.
• Knowledge of the AI stack (multimodal); Google Cloud Platform tools and certifications are a plus.
