VAT Tax Analyst (Remote, 12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Remote is looking for a VAT Tax Analyst to join its Finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on managing VAT obligations across multiple EMEA and APAC jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit VAT returns and related reports for various jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate filing of VAT obligations.
• Reconcile VAT accounts, analyse discrepancies, and correct ERP data as needed.
• Liaise with accounts payable, accounts receivable and the broader accounting team to review transactions.
• Analyse invoices for compliance with local tax law and request corrections.
• Manage e‑invoicing compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Assist with VAT registrations and de‑registrations.

Required profile

• Experience in a tax department, preferably a Big 4 environment focused on tax and reporting.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field.
• Chartered accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, CPA or similar) is highly valued.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and good organisational abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Remote‑work experience is a plus but not required.

Required skills

• SAP (experience preferred but not mandatory).
