Transportation Specialist – Multimodal Logistics

About the role

The Transportation Specialist will manage multimodal shipments for Viexal’s metal manufacturing group, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective movement of raw materials, spare parts, and finished goods across road, sea, rail, inland waterway and air.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange shipments by selecting the most suitable carriers and negotiating rates.
• Coordinate with all Supply Chain & Logistics departments across Viohalco companies.
• Plan and execute multimodal logistics projects for bulk, oversized and ADR cargo.
• Maintain transportation operations within budget while meeting service level targets.
• Conduct RFQs and e‑auctions for land, sea and rail transport services.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety, environmental and corporate policies.
• Maintain departmental files, reports and KPIs related to carrier performance and costs.
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers to improve cost, quality and service.
• Operate and support logistics systems such as ANITA, web applications, SAP ERP and SAP TMS.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain Management (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum three years of professional experience in international logistics, preferably in the metals sector.
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
• Excellent negotiation, time‑management and communication skills.
