Trade Marketing Expert

About the role

The Trade Marketing Expert will develop and execute trade marketing strategies that strengthen brand presence, improve commercial performance, and drive sales across relevant channels and customers. Acting as a bridge between Marketing, Sales, Category Management, and external trade partners, the role translates brand strategy into effective in‑market activities and ensures strong execution at the point of sale.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual trade marketing plans aligned with brand and commercial objectives, translating brand strategies into channel‑specific activation plans.
• Create impactful trade promotions, in‑store activations, merchandising programs, and shopper marketing initiatives, adapting them to channel, customer, product category, and shopper needs.
• Monitor trade marketing budgets, promotional investments, and ROI; analyze sales, distribution, and market data to evaluate performance and improve promotional effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Brand Marketing, Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain, and agencies to ensure alignment between brand plans and commercial priorities.
• Track market trends, competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and channel developments; use shopper and customer insights to enhance activation effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Brand Marketing, Category Management, or related commercial roles.
• Strong understanding of consumer goods, retail, or FMCG environments and experience working with Sales and Marketing teams.
• Excellent analytical, commercial, project management, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and the local market language.
