Toolcare Technician

About the role

The Toolcare Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating tooling used in our manufacturing processes. This role ensures that dies, molds, and other tools operate at peak performance to guarantee product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repair of manufacturing tools, dies, and molds.
• Inspect tooling for wear, damage, and defects and determine corrective actions.
• Execute precision adjustments and calibrations to meet exact specifications.
• Use manual and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in maintenance logs and systems.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement improvements.
• Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean workspace, and assist with spare‑part inventory management.
• Provide technical support and guidance to production operators on tool usage and basic maintenance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanics, machining, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in tool maintenance, repair, or a similar technical role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Physical ability to lift moderate weights, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
