Tax Specialist

About the role

Sunlight Group is seeking a Tax Specialist to join its Finance team in Athens. The role is central to ensuring tax compliance and supporting both local and international reporting requirements for a fast‑growing energy storage company.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with external tax and accounting consultants to meet all statutory obligations.
• Prepare the Corporate Income Tax return for the headquarters and assist with VAT, withholding tax, and digital transaction filings.
• Align accounting records with the myDATA platform requirements.
• Support external Transfer Pricing advisors in documentation preparation.
• Prepare documentation for tax audits and manage the Tax Certificate process.
• Participate in ad‑hoc tax‑related projects across the business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in tax, accounting, audit or tax advisory roles.
• Understanding of Corporate Income Tax, VAT and withholding taxes; exposure to Transfer Pricing is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and the myDATA reporting framework.
• Professional tax qualifications (e.g., ACCA) are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.
