System Engineer

About the role

SILVARE is seeking a System Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise IT infrastructure for a banking client. The role spans physical and virtual servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments, with a focus on security, scalability, and high availability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, operate, and support data‑center infrastructure, including servers, SAN/NAS storage, Fibre Channel, and networking switches.
• Administer hypervisors and virtualization platforms, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure performance, handling incidents and root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in capacity planning, upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Maintain high availability, resilience, security, and compliance in line with banking standards.
• Follow operational procedures, documentation, and change‑management processes.
• Prepare technical documentation, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee project and resource planning from initiation to successful delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in enterprise data‑center environments.
• Strong understanding of IT service management, change control, and operational governance.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams, management, and third‑party vendors.
• Excellent communication skills for translating complex technical concepts.
