Sustainability and Climate Change Associate

About the role

We are looking for a Sustainability and Climate Change Associate to join our Athens team. You will help clients navigate ESG reporting, implement sustainability strategies, and stay ahead of evolving regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in sustainability reporting aligned with standards such as GRI, ESRS and EU Taxonomy.
• Coordinate and deliver ESG information requests, ensuring high‑quality outputs and meeting deadlines.
• Conduct market research, prepare presentations, and collect ESG data for reports and ratings.
• Assist clients in implementing sustainability initiatives using best practices and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to ESG‑related proposals for new business opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops and business‑level discussions, accurately documenting requirements.
• Monitor global ESG trends, standards and certifications, providing timely insights.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with senior client stakeholders.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Engineering or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of client‑facing advisory experience in ESG, sustainability or climate change.
• Proven track record in at least one of the following: sustainability reporting, carbon‑footprint calculation, ESG ratings, EU Taxonomy assessment, or double‑materiality analysis.
• Strong analytical, research and report‑writing abilities.
• Excellent project‑management experience.
• Fluent in English and Greek, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (high proficiency).
• GRI, ESRS and ATHEX ESG reporting frameworks.
• EU Taxonomy assessment (including TSC, DNSH, MSS criteria).
• EcoVadis and CDP ESG rating processes.
• Carbon‑footprint calculation for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
• Double materiality assessment and CSR‑D readiness.
