Sustainability and Climate Change Associate

About the role

Join a fast‑growing sustainability practice that helps clients turn complex ESG challenges into strategic opportunities. Based in Athens, you will work directly with senior client stakeholders to deliver high‑quality sustainability reporting, data analysis, and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in preparing sustainability reports aligned with standards such as GRI, ESRS and EU Taxonomy.
• Coordinate and manage multiple ESG information requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Conduct market research, prepare presentations, and collect ESG data for ratings and disclosures.
• Assist clients in implementing sustainability strategies using best‑practice tools and technologies.
• Draft ESG proposals for new business opportunities and lead workshops to capture client requirements.
• Monitor global and regional ESG trends, standards and certifications, providing insights on impacts and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with senior‑level client stakeholders.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Engineering or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of client‑facing advisory experience in ESG, sustainability or climate change.
• Proven experience in at least one of the following: sustainability reporting (GRI, ESRS, ATHEX ESG), carbon‑footprint calculation (Scope 1‑3), ESG ratings (EcoVadis), CSR/D readiness, EU Taxonomy assessment.
• Strong analytical, research and report‑writing abilities.
• Excellent project‑management track record.
• Fluent in English and Greek, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of GRI, ESRS, ATHEX ESG and EU Taxonomy frameworks.
• Carbon‑footprint calculation (Scope 1, 2, 3).
• ESG rating methodologies (EcoVadis, CDP).
• Data handling and large‑dataset management.
