Software Development Team Leader

About the role

Join Allwyn’s in‑house agile software development team as a Software Development Team Leader. You will lead a group of Java engineers to deliver high‑end solutions across the company’s product suite, while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Java Software Engineers, creating a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
• Define project timelines, priorities and resource allocation to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Assign development tasks for new features, modifications or upgrades of software applications.
• Mentor and develop team members, helping them reach their full potential.
• Coordinate brainstorming sessions to enhance software capabilities and drive innovation.
• Develop and refactor existing applications following coding guidelines, architectural evolution and security standards.
• Produce clean, testable code using Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and document all changes.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science, IT or related field (MSc desirable).
• Minimum 6 years of Java web‑application development experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring software engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, REST APIs and clean‑code practices.
• Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
