Senior Lawyer – Data Protection Officer

About the role

EveryPay is seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to join its growing Legal team and act as the company’s Data Protection Officer. The role combines high‑level legal advisory on payments, technology and e‑commerce with full responsibility for GDPR compliance and privacy governance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic legal advice on payments regulations (PSD2, upcoming PSD3/PSR), e‑commerce, cybersecurity and AI initiatives.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory risks linked to new products, services, partnerships and AI‑enabled solutions.
• Monitor and interpret EU and Greek regulatory developments, ensuring timely updates to policies, contracts and product designs.
• Act as Data Protection Officer: guide the company on GDPR obligations, conduct DPIAs, oversee privacy‑by‑design, manage data‑subject requests and personal data breach responses.
• Collaborate closely with Compliance, Risk, Product and Technology teams to embed legal requirements into business processes.

Required profile

• Law degree with a solid background in payments, technology or e‑commerce law.
• Proven experience as a Data Protection Officer or in GDPR compliance.
• Deep knowledge of EU payments directives (PSD2, PSD3/PSR) and familiarity with the EU AI Act.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex regulations into practical business guidance.
