Senior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement and manage advanced security solutions for a leading energy company. You will work closely with IT, development teams and global vendors to protect critical infrastructure and data.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, manage and enhance cyber security tools and solutions.
• Lead projects and coordinate with vendors for security solution deployment.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security controls into systems, databases and applications.
• Expand monitoring scope and improve detection and response capabilities.
• Analyze, plan and execute security hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging security technologies.
• Mentor and support new team members.

Required profile

• University or college degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field (MSc a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber security.
• Experience managing vendors and partners.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CC, Security+, AZ-500, SC‑100, SC‑200, BTL1) are a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, organized, able to work autonomously and adapt to changing priorities.
