Senior Azure (PaaS/SaaS) DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Azure (PaaS/SaaS) DevOps Engineer to join a leading Data FinTech company in Athens. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining highly available cloud infrastructure and automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure native services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage enterprise‑grade Azure PaaS/SaaS environments (App Services, Functions, AKS, Cosmos DB, Event Hubs, Service Bus, etc.).
• Drive Infrastructure‑as‑Code initiatives with Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates and maintain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Enforce security and compliance standards for regulated sectors, including Azure AD/Entra ID, Key Vault, network isolation and policy enforcement.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers and architects to optimise deployment strategies, cloud spend and reliability.

Required profile

• 7+ years of IT experience with a focus on cloud engineering, infrastructure or DevOps.
• Deep hands‑on experience with Azure PaaS/SaaS services and minimal reliance on IaaS/VMs.
• Strong knowledge of networking (VNets, ExpressRoute, Private Endpoints, NSGs) and security for FinTech or public‑sector environments.
• Fluent in English and Greek, both written and spoken.

• Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates.
• Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts) and GitHub Actions.
• PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash.
• Linux administration (Ubuntu, RHEL) – plus.
