Senior Accountant

About the role

Re18Healthcare is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead the full accounting function for its fast‑growing longevity tech platform. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, payroll processing, and cash‑flow management while supporting the company’s mission to extend healthspan through data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete accounting cycle, including AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Maintain double‑entry books and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Greek GAAP (ELP) and, where applicable, IFRS.
• Manage all Greek tax obligations (VAT, VIES, Intrastat, withholding taxes, corporate income tax) and submit filings via TAXIS and myDATA.
• Run payroll, handle social security contributions through EFKA and ERGANI, and ensure accurate payroll reporting.
• Monitor and forecast cash flow and working capital to support strategic decisions.
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes as the primary auditor contact.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and stay current with changes in Greek tax legislation and accounting standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on accounting experience in a Greek operating environment.
• MSc in Accounting, Finance or an MBA.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Strong written and verbal communication in both Greek and English.
• Experience with IFRS reporting and group consolidation.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in Greek GAAP (ELP) and Greek tax codes (KFE, KFD).
• Proficiency with myDATA e‑books, TAXIS declarations and ERGANI submissions.
• Advanced knowledge of VAT mechanics, VIES, Intrastat and reverse‑charge rules.
• Hands‑on ERP experience (Epsilon Net or equivalent) and payroll software.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to build financial models.
