Senior Accountant

About the role

This is a hands‑on senior accountant position supporting the CFO in a fast‑growing organisation that delivers renewable energy and construction projects. The role combines day‑to‑day accounting, payroll management and strategic finance support, with a clear path to a Head of Accounts role within two years.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting across multiple entities and projects.
• Oversee and process payroll, handling reporting and employee queries.
• Ensure statutory filings and compliance with labour and tax regulations.
• Support onboarding, terminations and maintenance of employee records.
• Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and audit preparation.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to provide financial insights.
• Identify and drive process improvements across finance functions.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 5 years of experience.
• Background in renewables, construction or infrastructure is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of labour law and multi‑entity accounting environments.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work with diverse stakeholders.
