Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Certified Accountant to take full ownership of the accounting operations of a fast‑scaling e‑commerce company that sells in over 125 countries. The Senior Accountant will ensure accurate bookkeeping, manage tax compliance and support the preparation of financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain double‑entry bookkeeping (Class C books) and process/verify purchase, sales, expense, cash and bank documents.
• Perform MYDATA reconciliations and account reconciliations for banks, clients and suppliers.
• Prepare and submit tax declarations, including VAT, withholding taxes and VIES.
• Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors.
• Monitor updates in tax and labour legislation to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 7–8 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as Entersoft or an equivalent.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
