Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & Data Analytics

About the role

First Floor Financial Engineering SA is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong financial reporting and data‑analytics capabilities to support a portfolio of clients in Athens. The successful candidate will combine solid accounting knowledge with advanced Excel skills to ensure compliance and deliver insightful financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping and accounting activities for a portfolio of clients.
• Ensure compliance with Greek Accounting Standards and tax requirements.
• Prepare and review VAT returns, withholding taxes and corporate tax obligations.
• Support monthly and annual closing procedures.
• Perform reconciliations of accounts and balances.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Supervise myDATA compliance processes.
• Develop and maintain Excel reports and financial analysis files.
• Collaborate closely with tax, payroll and advisory teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or accounting outsourcing services.
• Good understanding of Greek Accounting Standards and tax legislation.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SoftOne, Entersoft or Epsilon Net.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Professional attitude with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in Greek and English.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, data visualisation).
• ERP systems experience (SoftOne, Entersoft, Epsilon Net).
