R&D Project Engineer

About the role

The R&D Project Engineer will support the creation and improvement of products by researching competitor offerings, evaluating raw materials, and driving prototypes from concept to production. This role collaborates closely with suppliers, the R&D team, and manufacturing to ensure successful product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Research, analyze and benchmark competitor products to inform new product development.
• Source and evaluate raw materials, working with existing suppliers and identifying new sourcing opportunities.
• Conduct laboratory tests and experiments, documenting results to support design validation.
• Create, update and maintain technical drawings and 3D models for product components.
• Coordinate product transfer activities, preparing documentation, materials and quality standards for mass production.
• Build and assemble prototypes, samples and test units for R&D activities.
• Provide administrative support to the R&D department, including tracking shipments and maintaining records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in research & development, product development, manufacturing or a similar engineering role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS, CATIA or PTC Creo.
• Experience creating and modifying 3D models, assemblies and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
