Planned Maintenance System (PMS) Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a PMS Engineer to ensure the planned maintenance system for our fleet operates flawlessly. The role involves preventing overdue works, supporting audits, and providing technical guidance to shipboard personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Check overdue works for all vessels to avoid system failures caused by lack of maintenance.
• Create and maintain vessel structures in the ERP (workflow tree, manufacturers, models, serial numbers, works & forms) to apply the company’s official PMS.
• Prepare vessels’ PMS documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring no deficiencies.
• Generate regular and ad‑hoc reports on critical components, OPEX, budget analysis, and PMS performance.
• Provide training and technical advice to shipboard personnel.
• Support the technical department with data collection, fleet‑wide analysis, decision‑making and budget control.
• Guide precise spare‑parts implementation in Navision (PMS tool) and enter data to improve maintenance and budget control.
• Assist the Technical Director with any related tasks as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering and/or Naval Architecture (Master’s degree considered an asset).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the technical department of a shipping company.
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
• Team‑player attitude and computer literacy.

Required skills

• Experience with Navision (Microsoft Dynamics) for maintenance planning.
• Data management and database maintenance capabilities.
• ERP workflow creation and maintenance.
• Technical reporting and budgeting knowledge.
