Manager, Fund Accounting

About the role

Willow Wealth is seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Manager to join its Athens Services Hub. Reporting to the Senior Fund Controller in New York, you will own the accounting and finance functions for a portfolio of over 100 private‑market funds, ensuring accurate reporting under US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Review monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages prepared by the external fund administrator for accuracy and US GAAP compliance.
• Validate audited financial statements, footnotes and disclosures across all fund offerings.
• Draft fund financial statements and ensure proper recording of fees, interest, management fees, expense allocations and intercompany transactions.
• Oversee daily and monthly transaction activity of the external administrator, providing guidance on transaction classification.
• Identify process gaps and control weaknesses, drive improvements and document internal controls and workflows.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Investments, Legal, Compliance, Tax, auditors and external service providers.
• Support year‑end tax processes, including coordination of Forms 1099 and K‑1.
• Respond to investor inquiries and prepare ad‑hoc analyses as needed.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or investment management.
• Background in a Big Four firm and strong knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics; advanced qualification (Master’s, ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
