Legal Counsel EEMEA

About the role

Barilla is seeking a Legal Counsel for the EEMEA region to provide comprehensive legal support across commercial, contractual, corporate, and regulatory matters. The role works closely with regional and global legal teams as well as cross‑functional business partners to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and enable strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to regional business units based on specific requests.
• Develop and monitor local legal strategies aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Support corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, shareholder actions, powers of attorney, and entity management.
• Design and deliver training programs on antitrust, compliance, intellectual property, and contract management.
• Create practical legal guidance documents, templates, and FAQs for common regional issues.
• Implement and oversee regional compliance programs, conduct risk assessments, and support internal audits and investigations.
• Draft, negotiate, and review a variety of contracts such as supplier, distributor, service agreements, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
• Provide training on contract management and negotiation best practices.
• Manage litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution processes within the region.
• Assist with the management of the regional intellectual property portfolio.

Required profile

• Qualified legal professional (law degree) with experience in commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters.
• Proven ability to work with regional and global legal teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of compliance, antitrust, and intellectual property issues in the EEMEA region.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
