IT Systems Engineer – Data Center & Cloud Solutions

About the role

Space Hellas is looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain complex data‑center and cloud infrastructure solutions. You will work on virtualization, storage, compute, and orchestration projects for both on‑premise and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Linux and Windows infrastructures for customers.
• Administer storage solutions (SAN, NAS, cloud‑based) and server hardware.
• Configure and support virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V and related technologies (vSAN, Horizon, vRealize).
• Develop and maintain containerised services using Docker, Apache, Nginx, and micro‑services.
• Perform migrations to Azure and support hybrid cloud configurations.
• Manage Active Directory across on‑premise and Azure environments.
• Administer Microsoft services including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Defender.
• Troubleshoot and support Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Automate deployments and infrastructure tasks using scripting tools (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
• Collaborate on networking designs involving VXLAN, VMware NSX/T, and data‑center fabrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience with high‑availability data‑center systems.
• Strong knowledge of compute hardware (HP, Dell, Cisco) and storage technologies (Fiber Channel, FCoE, iSCSI, NVMe‑oF, Object storage).
• Excellent written and spoken English.
