IT Field & Support Engineer – Maritime

About the role

As an IT Field & Support Engineer – Maritime, you will provide technical support and troubleshooting services to shipping companies and vessels, ensuring smooth operation of their IT infrastructure and systems. The role combines remote and on‑site support, with travel and boardings on vessels when required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support to maritime customers.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
• Deliver on‑site support at customer premises and on board vessels.
• Install, configure and maintain IT equipment, systems and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot incidents and ensure timely resolution according to service levels.
• Support implementation and maintenance of IT solutions in maritime environments.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams and customers to resolve complex issues.
• Document incidents, solutions and technical interventions.
• Participate in projects, installations and upgrades at customer sites.
• Travel as required to support customers and vessels in Greece and potentially abroad.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field.
• Previous experience in IT support or field support.
• Good knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365 and basic networking.
• Familiarity with network technologies, hardware troubleshooting and IT infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and work on board vessels when required.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Valid driving licence.
• Experience in the maritime/shipping industry is a strong advantage.
