Graphic Designer

About the role

OpenAIRE is seeking a creative Graphic Designer to produce high‑quality visual content for both digital and print channels. You will translate the organisation’s strategy and messaging into compelling designs that reinforce its brand and support various projects.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret briefs from internal teams and external stakeholders to develop clear design concepts.
• Create digital assets such as social media graphics, web banners, presentations, templates, and infographics.
• Design print materials including brochures, posters, reports, flyers, and event collateral.
• Develop brand elements like logos, style guides, templates, and iconography for the organisation and its projects.
• Prepare print‑ready files and coordinate with printers or external suppliers when required.
• Optimise graphics for different platforms (web, mobile, social, print) and maintain the visual identity system.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and collaborating with marketing, communications, project, and technical teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of professional graphic design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Excellent attention to detail, visual composition, and ability to present design decisions.
• Fluency in English and ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle feedback constructively.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (After Effects a plus).
• Practical experience with AI‑powered design and content‑generation tools.
• Solid understanding of branding, visual identity, print production processes, and basic digital/UI design principles.
