Fund Accountant

About the role

Eurobank is seeking a qualified and motivated Fund Accountant to join its Fund Accounting Unit within Markets & Funds Operations. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day accounting and reporting of assigned mutual funds, ensuring accurate valuation and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and report the daily Net Asset Value (NAV) per unit for mutual‑fund portfolios.
• Perform daily reconciliations of cash and investment positions with prime broker/custodian accounts.
• Record securities positions, corporate actions, accruals, fees, expenses and other journal entries in line with internal policies.
• Identify exceptions, communicate issues to management and assist in their resolution.
• Prepare annual and semi‑annual financial statements with footnotes, complying with Greek Law and/or IFRS.
• Support independent audit firms during fund reviews.
• Assist business development, respond to client‑specific reporting requests and contribute to projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a quantitative field; postgraduate degree is a plus.
• Up to 3 years of relevant experience in fund accounting or related area.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA or ACCA (completed or in progress) are highly appreciated.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments, mutual funds, accounting principles and financial ratios.
• Excellent command of Greek and English.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills.
