Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

Union Maritime Ltd is seeking a Reporting Manager to lead the Group's reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders across its global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Review, authorize and process consolidation journals for a group of more than 150 legal entities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for key business units, including performance analysis, variance reporting and KPI commentary for senior management.
• Prepare annual statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS, review loan agreements, monitor financial covenants and draft technical accounting memoranda for complex transactions.
• Liaise with external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate provision of all required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory and regulatory requirements in jurisdictions such as the United Kingdom, Singapore and Bermuda.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of financial reporting processes, systems and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent).
• 7‑10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting or audit, including 2‑5 years within the shipping or maritime industry.
• Proven experience managing audits, statutory reporting and consolidated group reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
• Expertise in preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements.
• Experience with complex accounting areas such as IFRS 16 Leases, IFRS 10 Consolidated Financial Statements, IAS 39 Impairment of Assets and IFRS 9 Financial Instruments.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query and Pivot Tables.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP and consolidation systems such as Fluence, SAP or Oracle.
• Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
