Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to own and drive the finance function at REBORRN, a fast‑moving management consultancy. You will be responsible for the monthly close, cash management, reporting and compliance while leading the transition to automated, AI‑supported finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end monthly close, including reconciliations, accruals and delivering clean, on‑time numbers.
• Forecast and monitor cash flow, manage invoicing and collections, and flag financial risks early.
• Produce and present monthly financial reports, explaining key insights and risks to leadership.
• Collaborate with project leads to track project profitability and margins.
• Review and approve payments, maintain financial controls and policies.
• Coordinate tax filings, audits and external accountants, ensuring compliance and accurate deliverables.
• Serve as the internal point of contact for all finance‑related queries and spend policy communication.
• Drive automation by moving manual finance tasks into AI‑supported processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably combining audit and in‑house control.
• Deep understanding of accounting, tax and payroll, able to direct and challenge external partners.
• Strong cash‑focus with the ability to succinctly advise leadership on affordability.
• Proven ability to translate numbers into clear, actionable decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain finance concepts to non‑finance colleagues.
• Fluent in Greek and English.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools and a mindset for automation.
• Leadership potential – experience managing or mentoring finance staff.
