Environmental Health & Safety Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and motivated EHS Officer to join UNI-PHARMA. The role involves maintaining a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace while ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and continuous improvement of the EHS Management System.
• Monitor compliance with local legislation, corporate policies and industry best practices.
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety audits, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Organize and deliver EHS training programs to promote employee awareness.
• Participate in emergency preparedness activities, including drills and response planning.
• Monitor environmental performance such as waste management, emissions and resource consumption.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate EHS requirements into daily operations and projects.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Maintain accurate EHS records, reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific/engineering discipline.
• 2‑5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing or other regulated industry.
• Good knowledge of EHS legislation, ISO management systems and GRI standards.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
