Data Science Manager – AI & ML Leadership

About the role

Join Accenture’s Strategy & Consulting AI practice to lead data‑driven transformation projects for global clients. You will guide a multicultural team of data scientists and engineers, turning complex business challenges into actionable AI and ML solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client requirements and translate them into data‑science designs, models, and visualisations.
• Design, develop and deliver end‑to‑end ML solutions, collaborating with engineering and operations teams.
• Lead a team of 5‑8 professionals, managing deadlines, priorities and multicultural dynamics.
• Contribute to internal R&D, business development and thought leadership in advanced analytics.
• Act as Project Lead in client Scrum ceremonies and oversee delivery of marketing, customer and sales analytics projects.
• Create project plans, manage resources and expenses, and communicate results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Data Science and ML, with proven people‑management experience.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of econometrics, statistics, data mining and AI concepts.
• Excellent communication skills in English; ability to explain technical methods to non‑technical audiences.
• Male candidates must have fulfilled military obligations.

Required skills

• Programming: Python, R, Scala, Julia (plus Java or C/C++ as a plus).
• Cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services.
• ML lifecycle management and MLOps practices.
• Agile delivery frameworks and CI/CD principles.
