Data & Analytics Consultant – Performance Improvement

About the role

Deloitte is expanding its Value Creation Services practice and seeks a data‑driven analytical professional to join the Performance Improvement & Operations team. You will work directly with senior advisors on engagements for private‑equity‑backed businesses and large corporates across sectors such as manufacturing, retail, utilities and more, turning messy transactional data into clear, actionable insight.

Key responsibilities

• Connect to client ERP, accounting and other operational systems to extract transactional data.
• Prepare and clean raw data, resolving duplicates, inconsistent coding and missing fields.
• Develop, test and troubleshoot complex SQL queries across multiple tables and sources.
• Automate data cleaning and transformation workflows using Python (Pandas, NumPy) scripts.
• Design and build end‑to‑end Power BI dashboards and analytical summaries tailored to each engagement.
• Structure findings in presentation‑ready formats for senior team communication.
• Help create reusable analytical frameworks, templates and standardised workflows.
• Manage multiple analytical workstreams simultaneously while meeting tight diagnostic timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in a consulting firm or an operations analytics function within a large organization.
• Excellent numeracy, strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Effective team player with the ability to take direction, ask thoughtful questions and collaborate in fast‑paced teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Greek.
• Military obligations fulfilled where applicable and willingness to learn and grow.

Required skills

• Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data cleaning and processing.
• SQL – writing complex multi‑table queries and data extraction.
• Power BI – dashboard creation, data modelling and DAX measures.
• Advanced Excel and Power Query for data manipulation and visualization.
• Experience with Tableau or other BI tools is a plus.
