Cyber Security Architect

About the role

Piraeus is seeking a Cyber Security Architect to design and govern secure technology architectures that align with the bank’s strategic goals and regulatory obligations. You will translate business and technical requirements into resilient, scalable solutions while strengthening the organisation’s cyber‑resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review secure architectures for cloud, hybrid and on‑premises initiatives, working independently or with senior architects.
• Perform threat modelling, attack‑surface analysis and security risk assessments using STRIDE and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Define security architecture standards, design patterns and reference architectures for consistent implementation.
• Provide guidance on security for cloud platforms, applications, infrastructure, APIs and Identity & Access Management solutions.
• Support Secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices by embedding security requirements early in the development lifecycle.
• Participate in architecture and governance reviews to ensure compliance with security policies, enterprise standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Cloud and Delivery teams to integrate security controls into strategic projects.

Required profile

• Experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong interest in security architecture.
• Ability to work in a highly regulated financial services environment.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to convey security concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Threat‑modelling methodologies: STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK.
• Secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs and Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Familiarity with security architecture standards and reference models.
