Billing & Invoicing Senior Officer

About the role

The Senior Billing & Invoicing Officer will oversee billing and invoicing operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely revenue recognition to support cash flow and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and issue invoices in line with contracts, tuition fees and service agreements.
• Manage complex billing scenarios including milestone, recurring, adjustments, credits, discounts and rebates.
• Ensure invoicing complies with company policies, accounting standards (IFRS 15, IFRS 9) and contractual requirements.
• Support month‑end revenue and discount recognition and bad‑debt calculations.
• Maintain audit‑ready billing documentation and produce related reports, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Act as primary contact for escalated billing inquiries and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Investigate tickets in the Halo ticketing system and support ERP/billing system optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years experience in billing, invoicing or order‑to‑cash functions with high transaction volumes.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles for billing and revenue recognition.
• Fluent in English and Greek, both written and verbal.
• Excellent attention to detail, multitasking ability and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP and billing systems such as SAP, JDE or Oracle.
• Advanced MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
