Area Manager – Grocery Operations

About the role

Wolt’s Market division is expanding its grocery delivery network across Greece. As an Area Manager you will lead a team of store managers and associates to ensure a world‑class grocery experience for customers, from order fulfillment to doorstep delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end store operations for a portfolio of 6‑8 stores, covering fulfillment, picking, packing and delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, customer experience and productivity.
• Hire, train and mentor store managers and team leads, maintaining a motivated workforce.
• Develop shift schedules, quality initiatives and process changes to meet and exceed business targets.
• Analyse demand forecasts and set productivity requirements in line with country objectives.
• Collaborate with operations, inventory and commercial teams to optimise store layout, cost efficiency and product initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven operations management experience in retail, distribution or platform‑economy environments.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Ability to work independently while leveraging support from senior management.
• Excellent analytical mindset for forecasting and productivity planning.
