Adult Research Nurse - Crete

About the role

Illingworth Research Group, a clinical research organisation serving the pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotechnology and medical device industries, is recruiting an Adult Research Nurse for Crete. The nurse supports the day-to-day running of clinical trials, working closely with the research nurse project manager, the site team and the Principal Investigator.

Key responsibilities

• Be fully conversant with the trial protocol, CRFs/eCRFs, supporting documents, procedures and timelines, including all relevant SOPs.
• Communicate effectively with the research nurse project manager, research nurse manager, site staff and the Principal Investigator.
• Maintain accurate documentation and electronic data transfer in line with SOPs, ensuring subject confidentiality and compliance with GCP and data protection requirements.
• Attend Site Initiation Visits and other meetings, including multi-disciplinary, project management and client-facing ones.
• Coordinate and complete on- and off-site subject trial visits, ensuring procedures and assessments follow the protocol and SOPs and data is collected accurately.
• Administer trial medication as per the protocol and ensure its safe storage, transfer and accountability.
• Process and safely package and dispatch samples, liaising with couriers.
• Assist in identifying eligible patients and support patient recruitment and on- and off-site care.
• Report adverse events, serious adverse events and SUSARs to the site team and the RNPM, and report suspected misconduct or fraud.

Required profile

• Registered nurse with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Research and clinical trials experience with GCP certification.
• Knowledge of research design and methodology desirable.
• Experience in clinical nursing skills such as venepuncture and ECG preferable.
• Ability to work autonomously in a multidisciplinary team, with good verbal and written communication and task prioritisation.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of computer software, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint as a minimum.
