Accounts Payable Team Leader

About the role

Fourlis Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join its Group Finance team in Kifissia. The role will oversee the AP function across multiple companies, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and continuous improvement of AP processes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day Accounts Payable operations across Group entities, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Lead, coach and monitor the performance of the AP team, setting priorities and managing workload.
• Process supplier invoices, employee expense claims and payment requests accurately and on schedule.
• Oversee supplier reconciliations, resolve discrepancies and maintain vendor master data integrity.
• Monitor AP aging, outstanding liabilities and provide regular reporting to management.
• Ensure compliance with tax and accounting requirements related to AP transactions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities for AP.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Procurement and Business Units to optimise the Procure‑to‑Pay cycle.
• Drive process automation, standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in internal and external audits, supplying required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of Accounts Payable experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes.
• Experience in a multi‑company or Group environment is a strong advantage.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Excellent organisational, planning and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• SAP (preferably S/4HANA) ERP system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
