Financial Controller – Greece

About the role

Intertek is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead its finance function in Greece. This senior position ensures the integrity of the balance sheet, compliance with group policies and statutory requirements, and the delivery of accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy, integrity and compliance of all financial reporting activities.
• Manage local statutory, accounting and tax obligations, meeting all deadlines.
• Lead balance‑sheet reconciliation processes and ensure account health.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to complete audits successfully.
• Monitor cash positions, support cash repatriation, and collaborate with Group Treasury and Tax teams.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations and balance resolutions.
• Build and develop the local finance team, providing guidance on accounting matters.
• Promote a strong control environment and uphold Intertek’s Code of Ethics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar finance role within an international organization.
• Fluent in Greek and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a proactive, hands‑on approach.
