Accounts Payable & Receivable Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Accounts Payable & Receivable Assistant to support the accounting department of a dynamic fruit and vegetable trading company. Working under the Senior Accounts Payable & Receivable accountant, you will help ensure smooth operations, accurate record‑keeping, and timely processing of payments and invoices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supplier invoice processing, payment scheduling and vendor reconciliations.
• Issue customer invoices, track collections and support credit control activities.
• Support corporate tax compliance, VAT administration and liaison with tax authorities.
• Apply financial policies, internal controls and assist with audit coordination.
• Reconcile payroll entries, calculate accruals and prepare monthly payroll journal entries.
• Complete payroll remittances, reconcile liability accounts and prepare reports for government and benefit carriers.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial and accounting support to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in an accounting department.
• Fluent English (B2+/C1) with strong written and spoken skills.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities and eagerness to learn.
