Accounting Assistant

About the role

The Finance team is looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Accounting Assistant to support the group’s accounting operations across multiple countries. You will work with internal and external partners to ensure accurate bookkeeping and compliance with local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Post and reconcile accounting entries and supporting documents for Group companies operating abroad.
• Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger updates and expense processing.
• Collaborate with external accountants in different countries to support monthly accounting processes.
• Transform foreign accounting data into the Greek General Ledger format and record it in the internal accounting system.
• Assist with tax filings, VAT, withholding taxes and related compliance procedures.
• Work with ERP systems to maintain accurate financial data, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and monthly closings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping and tax frameworks.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (functions, pivot tables, data validation).
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365.
