Accountant

About the role

The company is seeking a proactive Accountant to manage subsidiary and general ledger activities, support month‑end closings, and ensure compliance with group policies. You will work closely with the Chief Accountant and collaborate with Sales and Procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile subsidiary and general ledgers, including AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, and payroll.
• Post and verify entries in the general ledger in partnership with the Chief Accountant.
• Execute monthly closing activities and support annual financial statement preparation.
• Record and verify supplier invoices, allocate costs to cost and profit centers.
• Maintain master data such as payment terms, bank details, and VAT regulations.
• Prepare weekly payment runs, validate VAT postings, and ensure legal compliance.
• Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, and the Chief Accountant to resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in process improvements, internal controls, and ERP implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable qualification.
• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Strong communication skills, team‑oriented mindset, and ability to work independently.
• English proficiency at a communication level.
