Accountant – General Ledger & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage our subsidiary and general ledgers, support month‑end closings, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role works closely with the Chief Accountant and cross‑functional teams to maintain data integrity and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile subsidiary and general ledgers, including AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, and payroll.
• Post and verify entries in the general ledger in collaboration with the Chief Accountant.
• Coordinate booking and reconciliation processes to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Execute monthly closing activities and assist with annual financial statement preparation.
• Record and verify supplier invoices, allocating costs to appropriate cost and profit centers.
• Maintain master data such as payment terms, bank details, and VAT regulations, resolving discrepancies with suppliers or procurement.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and validate VAT postings.
• Ensure compliance with group policies and legal requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Procurement, and the Chief Accountant.
• Participate in process improvements, internal controls, and ERP system implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable field.
• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Practical experience with ERP systems, ideally Softone or similar.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in English at a professional level.
• Independent, structured, and detail‑focused work style.
