Lead Data Integration Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Data Integration Engineer to join EPAM’s Data Practice team. You will design and build robust data systems and cloud‑based pipelines that enable effective decision‑making across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Drive EPAM’s strategic data initiatives and design enterprise data solutions in public clouds (AWS, Azure).
• Build and maintain components for enterprise data platforms, ensuring efficient data workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists, architects and other stakeholders to meet data requirements.
• Implement structured, secure and auditable processes to protect data integrity.
• Identify and resolve data‑related issues while continuously improving system quality.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• At least one year of leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
• Strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks.
• Knowledge of DBMS, ETL/ELT tools, API integration and FTP data acquisition.
• Background in building data‑warehouse, operational data store, API access layers or query systems.
